Name the sources of sublime?
There are five sources of sublime,
"Appropriate Use of Pictures,
"Nobility of Diction,
"Capacity for Strong Emotion,
"Dignity of Composition,
"Grandeur of Thought.

Define false sublime?
In false sublime there is element of bombast of language and timidity. In false sublime there is cheap display of emotion.

Define Nobility of Diction?
The greater source of sublime is diction which means the choice of words should be good. It includes metaphors, rhetoric etc.  

Define True Sublime?
True Sublime pleases all and pleases always “in true Sublime thoughts are always clear and universal. 

What is the role of figurative language in the "sublimity”?
Figurative language can play the important part in Sublimity of the text. With figurative language writer shows the greatness and excellence of the context.    

What things Longinus discussed in "On the Sublime"?
Longinus wants to show the importance of sublimity in text and connection between nature and art.

In what way nobility of diction is a source of the Sublime?
Sublimity means greatness and excellence. What make text extraordinary is its diction, means choice of words.so if choice of words is sublime then text will genuinely be in the excellent form.

He wrote in the Classic period. It is thought that he was a Greek master of rhetoric but he was more than that.

Define Frigidity in On the Sublime.
According to Longinus Frigidity is an enemy of sublime literature.it is not useful and has bad impacts.

How does Longinus define the sublime?
He defines sublime as excellence in language. through this writer can achieve the expression of a greatness in text.

What is Grandeur of thought?
Grandeur of thought demands the greatness of pure soul. No writer can create the sublime work unless his thoughts are pure. It is the only way to create sublime work if writer has the good thoughts about the subject.

Keats in 1818.
