Walt Whitman Portrays the life of people who were ruined during the Civil war .his themes are dealing with democracy and groups of people.

He discusses the organic principles of nature. And there is liberal use of metaphors, symbols, and imagery.

His imaginative power was so strong that he captured the reality of nature.
