Anton Chekhov biography

Anton Pavlovich Chekhov
Short Biography
He was born in 1860 in Taganrog Russia.
He died in 1904.
Chekhov was a Russian playwright, short story writer and a good physician.
His father's name was Pavel Yegorovich Chekhov. 
He used to run a grocery store.
The name of his mother was Yevgeniya who was an excellent storyteller.
He says something for his parents "Our talents and abilities we got from our father, but our soul from our mother and both have made us''.
He is considered to be one of the greatest short-story writers in the history of world literature.
Chekhov practiced as a doctor in his literary career.
He once said,'' Medicine science is my legal wife and literature is my lover or mistress."
In 1876, Chekhov's father was declared bankrupt and to avoid the debtor's prison fled to Moscow.
Chekhov was left behind to complete his education and to sell the family possessions.
He had to assume responsibility for the whole family at Moscow.
He daily wrote humorous sketches and contemporary life of  Russia.
In St. Petersburg, early in 1886 he was invited to write for one of the most popular papers in Petersburg.
Chekhov suffered a major hemorrhage of the lungs in 1897.
In May 1901 Chekhov married Olga Knipper.
Chekhov had to pay for his own education and he worked as tutor. He had to sell goldfinches and sketches to the newspapers.
Chekhov finished his schooling and joined his family in Moscow in 1879. .
He gained admission to the medical school at Moscow University.
In 1884, Chekhov qualified as a physician.
